The Construction Foreman will coordinate all site construction activities and supervise all field personnel as required to successfully complete the LONG Energy
services
& Performance Contracting projects on schedule and within budget ensuring adherence to plans, specifications and industrial standards.
Responsibilities/
Essential Functions:
Supervise and coordinate all construction activities.
Set up and maintain an organized
job
site, including the construction office/trailer.
Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
Prepare and maintain construction schedule. Identify and solve problems.
Order materials and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the process.
Comply with the objectives of the OSHA Safety and Loss Control Program.
Promote and ensure job site safety, encourage safe work practices and rectify job site hazards immediately.
Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other colleagues.
Supervise completion of final punch lists for timely building turnover.
Adhere to established LONG emergency policies and procedures.
Attend staff meetings, workshops and assigned training, and maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
Work the hours necessary to achieve the best results within the given time constraints.
Responsible for assisting the project
manager
through the draw process.
Utilize and distribute scheduling bulletins every two weeks to subcontractors and vendors.
Perform all quality control inspections.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Construction Management Degree preferred. High school diploma with appropriate field experience acceptable.
Minimum of 10 years hands-on field experience with commercial construction and higher education projects with an emphasis in mechanical renovations.
Minimum of 3 years of commercial construction and supervision with job hard costs in excess of $10 million.
Previous training in the proper use of PPE is required. OSHA 10-Hour certificate preferred.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and recognize and address work related issues as they occur.
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and shop drawings.
Working knowledge in the Windows environment, Microsoft Office software applications, and spreadsheets is necessary.
Regular travel ability is required.
Must be able to comprehend and communicate budget impacts based on decision making.
Job location is in Laramie, WY. Successful applicant will live within a one hour drive of the job site.
Physical Functions/Environmental Factors:
Must be able bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs & ladder, to reach, lift, pull, push, balance, crouch, crawl, kneel and lift or carry weight up to 75 pounds.
May be exposed to inside and outside environmental conditions, chemical hazards, respiratory hazards, cold weather and hot weather.
The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.
