Position Description
BASIC PURPOSE/SCOPE: Establish good business practices that will enable route to grow to potential. Work closely with customer and support all sales initiatives to achieve expectations. Responsible for account development with regards to ordering, merchandising, and display opportunities. Responsibilities apply to all BBU product lines including Bimbo, Oroweat, Entenmann''s, and Thomas''.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Responsible for route operational activity, including ordering and distribution, merchandising, promotional activity, holiday planning, and meeting customer expectations.
Communicate with all customers and consumers to assist them in understanding the promotional activity, and also understanding what our customer delivery expectations and growth opportunities are.
Insure that product distribution is accomplished to customer satisfaction in agreement with any contract terms and requirements.
Assist with accounts and customer relations to include selling of new products, chain relations, and space/position gains.
Solicit potential new business.
Market BBU as a leader in the baking business.
Position Requirements
KNOWLEDGE: Excellent interpersonal skills with knowledge of direct store delivery operation.
Basic computer skills helpful.
EDUCATION: High School graduate or GED equivalent.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
Experience: Previous experience in DSD operations. Previous experience in route sales.
