Wyoming Athletics is hiring an Assistant Director of Marketing and Community Outreach to join the Marketing team who is responsible for promoting all 17 Men's and Women's sports at the University of Wyoming. The primary responsibilities for this position are to oversee marketing for Olympic sports and be the point of contact/facilitator for community outreach initiatives. This position will also assist with gameday production for football and basketball.
This position will develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for all assigned sports; focused on driving attendance, generating revenue, and creating exciting gameday environments. In addition, this position will orchestrate community events and outreach initiatives for Wyoming Athletics, providing fan engagement and interaction opportunities.
Outside of these duties, this individual will spend a portion of his/her time in support of gameday marketing efforts, promotion design and brainstorming, developing and collaborating on advertising campaigns, overseeing the youth fan club, helping manage department social media accounts, supervising undergraduate interns, and other duties as assigned.
This is a full-time, benefited, 12-month position.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in applicable field required
1 year of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations required
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to efficiently and effectively multi-task
Able to successfully work both individually and in a group setting
Attention to detail with ability to create and maintain very specific timelines
Willingness to work odd hours, weekends and holidays
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and creative design programs (e.g. Photoshop)
Valid Driver's License with a motor vehicle record that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy found at:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
